Benjamin’s family was a pleasure to photograph… they had no opinions or preconceived ideas (well, except one!)… they basically said “do what you want and we’ll tell you if we don’t like it!” Benjamin, on the other hand, was not thrilled to be posing for me but with patience, extra milk, and a paci, we made it work! I’m loving awake shots almost as much as sleepy ones lately. Not to mention yawns, which are right up there with tiny feet in my book.
I have had so many girls lately (after my HUGE line of boys at the beginning of the year!). I love both- totally comfortable with little girls since I have 3- and boys are fun since I have none (and that rhymed!). Clara was 9 days old and such a go-with-the-flow baby! My heater went out about 2 minutes into the session, which could’ve been a very big problem… but not for Clara! She was so cooperative and sleepy. This smily 3 month old sweetheart was a joy to photograph! Amazingly, we even got some sleeping shots- which is unusual for a 3 month session! Annabelle and her newborn cousin (next up on the blog!) are the newest members of our First Year plan.

Meet Vivian, at 7 days old. She and her family were so patient as we waited for the right sleepy opportunity to snap away. I loved getting a few awake shots of her also- so alert and contemplative! Enjoy your preview!
Twins! My first newborn twins, actually. These precious baby girls were absolute angels! Their mom has a great schedule and system going- and Cameron and Channing are going with the flow! I expected their session to be a little crazy- but it was peaceful and amazingly simple. We were in and out in 2 hours. Special thanks to Kristin Gallatin, who helped me with this session… couldn’t have arranged all those little fingers without you!
I loved spending time with Barrett and his sweet family yesterday! It was my first shoot with my new camera… I’ve gone Nikon! Love it too! Big brother Hayes even hung out with us for a few minutes- but was a little too busy for this crazy photo stuff! I had plenty of help from Barrett’s two cousins who were visiting from DC. This is a loved little guy!
